Jill is an Environmental Artist, a Secondary School Teacher and a Forest School Leader. Over the last ten years working in education she has specialised in creative learning and nature connection. She has been an artist in residence in schools facilitating outdoor learning though performance and imaginative play and has worked with children to create 'outdoor classrooms' land art, instillations and 'living' play areas. She also runs forest school sessions for all ages from toddlers to adults.
Jill is deeply motivated by the pastoral side of her educational work and by the importance of cultivating positive self esteem and empowerment in young people, She has continued to develop this work through training with The Art of Mentoring, Evolving Wisdom and LIFEbeat and through her work with Creative Partnerships, Art in Mind and the Buddhafield Community.
She is a member of Pop Up Studios in Lewes, a cooperative of practitioners using permaculture and sustainable design within their practice. She also plays the fiddle and performs in several bands.
